This is the third piece in the series relating to my home on the Isle of Wight. It draws on the colours and spirit of Quarr Abbey. Photographing the Abbey and grounds on a beautiful autumn day, orange was the colour. The geometric brickwork glowed in orange tones, the shrubbery was turning through orange and yellow and red, the saffron coloured crocuses glowed. I like also the associations of orange with meditation, spirituality, nature, warmth and joy. I have added a machine wrapped cord and maintained my ‘home’ circle, in the pink, inspired by the shape and colours of beautiful sedums in the grounds, a nod to the theme of wrapped cords.
