Home or Red

Home or RedHere it is, the first of my set of 6 pieces.  Using the Aboriginal language of circles to represent home; my home – Cornwall, my husbands – Leicester and our home, together on the Isle of Wight, which is represented as a constant journey rather than a third place.  The colours celebrate love, life and joy; red is at the heart of the picture.  Colour opposites are important in the composition, just as opposing moods and states occur in life.

The piece has been framed and I’m going to submit it to TRAC’s next exhibition on Colour, which will take place From Friday 12th – Saturday 20th September, (excluding Sunday 14th). Fingers crossed!  On to piece number two…
